Good brightish touch of blue sky morning to you all. No it's not my breakfast! Shaving foam and mica sprays for backgrounds, sprays to one side, grunge backgrounds on other side, scissors, scalpel ,palette knife. The foam has been there since yesterday afternoon school run and will stay there until after this mornings school run and I will see if it is still workable-waste not, want not! In case you are wondering why I am showing you this mess get yourself over to Julia Dunnit at Stamping Ground http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk/ and you will be able to visit desks from around the world, but be warned it is addictive. Keep warm.

never have done the shave foam backgrounds. I didn't realize that the foam would stay around that long. Guess I should give it a go! Thanks for sharing. Have a great week. Vickie #1
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love that technique! Never tried it the next day so look forward to your experiment with it. Looks like you had fun anyway.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the visits to y blog over the past few days to see the birthday cards. Hope they gave you some ideas.
Hugs, Neet xx 16
Oh phew - thought you were showing off your culinary "skills" for a moment (and I don't do cooking) but glad to say I realised it was shaving foam, even before reading your comments. Hope it holds out. Happy WOYWW and thanks for visiting me BJ#42 PS a friend did a similar dying thing using snow instead of shaving foam!! LOL
ReplyDeleteWill be Interesting to see, if it works - fingers crossed x
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW Heather #46

Morning Carol, Missed your post yesterday, but the card is lovely, love that car stamp. I too, thought it was food at first, then realised it was the shaving foam technique. I first saw this on a Dawn Bibby DVD and was blown away, bought the shaving foam and there it sat, never tried the technique. Then just saw it on Sue's demo's and was blown away again, still got the shaving foam, must now try it ha ha. There aren't enough hours in the day for me ha ha.
ReplyDeleteLots of love from Patricia xx
PS I'm waiting for the Virgin engineer to come and change my hub for a super hub and hopefully the computer and laptop will be faster, I live in hope xx
I have had 2 smart price foams under my desk for a while,so after seeing Sue, that spurred me on, I will have to get some cosmic shimmer mica sprays because these are a bit insipid. Have a good day, give it a go.

Ha ha, I did think it was an omelette or something! Have a great day. Helen, 11
ReplyDeleteI did wonder what it was but then realized you had been playing. I think I might try this on Sunday as my friend is coming over for a bit of a play! Tracy #67
ReplyDeleteIt is quite therapeutic!

I hope we are going to see some finished projects using the shaving foam and I would love to know if it still worked the next day?

Hi Carol, I love that technique but have not tried it for ages, I wonder if it will work with Dylusions - will have to give it a try. Look forward to seeing the results of your 'next day' trial. Happy WOYWW, Anne x #23
ReplyDeleteI bet it will work with Dylusions, because they are vibrant colours aren't they?

Hi Carol, thanks for stopping by earlier...now... if I'm not allowed to chuck those stamped bits away that I'd sorted out, then you can't chuck that lovely looking grungey foam away..LOL.... At first, I wondered why you were showing us 'bubble and squeak'....ooops. It does look like it may have potential, but I haven't a clue about that technique anyway...look forward to seeing what happens next Happy WOYWW... Gill x #50
ReplyDeleteHi Gill, thanks for following me, to be honest when I did eventually get back to it, one side of it had dried up, and the other was crusting nicely, bur the tray washed up beautifully! Thanks for following me.

ReplyDeleteoh my gosh I thought you were making some spinach dip or something LOL!!! Happy WOYWW
ReplyDeleteThat looks most intriguing, Carol. How do you use it? Do you mix in the mica powder and then just spread it on? Details pleease!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your lovely comment. Yes, things are going ahead OK. I had a restful day yesterday but packed a couple of boxes before bed. Not much more to pack in my ARTHaven now (the worst room in the house to deal with!) and then I can proceed with the rest.
Your prayers are appreciated more than I can say. Thank you!
Happy belated WOYWW,
